With his ability to read the room and curate unforgettable party anthems, he is one of the creative forces behind the Clubkingz crew. DJ Danny-ill has performed for high-profile clients including the Black Ferns and the NZ Warriors, consistently bringing premium entertainment and memorable experiences to events across Christchurch and beyond.

Over the past few years, Danny has delivered a range of NZ Music Month workshops, events, and celebrations, all focused on educating rangatahi and showcasing local sound and stories.
2026 will be no different. A number of kaupapa are already in motion, continuing what has now become a five-year commitment to celebrating Aotearoa music and the people behind it.

duffy books in homes
Danny has been fortunate to be part of the Duffy Books in Homes initiative and to visit several schools around Christchurch as a Duffy Books role model. These visits allow him to share his journey through music and DJing while reinforcing the message that it’s cool to read and cool to achieve.

clubkingz 2026 and beyond
DJ Danny-ill is an original member of the Clubkingz collective, the DJ collective that’s helped shape hip hop and R&B culture in the South Island for over two decades. Alongside 10A, Tommy Dreamer, Leemz, and DJ Infared, Clubkingz have built a reputation grounded in skill, consistency, and culture. The Crew have rocked clubs, festivals, and concerts across Aotearoa, currently feature on FLAVA Radio, and have shared stages with some of the biggest names in global music.
Looking ahead to 2026, Danny-ill and Clubkingz are loading up another strong year with fresh artist collaborations, shows, and venue activations nationwide. After hosting The Chop Shop, The DJ Invitational, and multiple events across Chch Hip Hop Summit weekend — continuing to connect generations, sounds, and scenes while pushing the culture forward.
